Kittie <3
On a beautiful, sunny, and slightly cool day, Taylor is listening to music, Evelyn is watering the flowers, and Paul is sitting on the couch in the living room reading a book. Everything is going smoothly. While looking out the window, Evelyn says:
— The weather outside looks wonderful today. turns her back Maybe the little kitty is enjoying herself too, don't you think?
Taylor:
— She's already started. looks at the kitten She's basking in the sun under the window.
Evelyn looks in the direction Taylor is looking and sees the kitten.
Paul:
— She looks like she’s having fun, no doubt about it.
Then... at that moment, our sunbathing kitten lifts her head. A butterfly, it's flying in front of the window! The kitten’s attention is drawn to the butterfly. For a while, she makes cute head movements, then climbs onto the window sill and tries to catch it with her paws:
Little kitty (inner voice):
— Come here, little butterfly! I'll catch you!
And suddenly... hop! Losing her balance, she falls out of the window, landing on all four paws! Startled but curious, she chases the butterfly along the sidewalk for a while. She crosses streets, roads, and gardens, eventually reaching a dark, trash-filled dead-end. The butterfly flies away... The kitten stops for a moment and looks around...:
"Mrav?" (What?.. Where am I?...)
There are no her owners or anything familiar in this place... That's when the little cat realizes she's lost.
Taylor looks in front of the kitchen window, where the kitten was lying, but can't see her:
— Uuum, did you see the little kitty?
Evelyn:
— No, but wasn't she sunbathing just now?
Taylor:
— Yes, but she's not there now.
They search everywhere in the house, but they can't find the kitten. Panic breaks out in the house. As our heroes search for the cat, Evelyn notices that the window is open.
Evelyn:
— The window... the window was open! What if she went outside?
Paul:
— Let's check right away, maybe she's nearby!
And so begins a frantic "search for the cat" adventure. The scene continues in the dead end where the kitten is located.
The butterfly has already disappeared from sight. The kitten is clearly anxious, trembling, it's so obvious that she fears. The dead end she went is silent. The sounds of cars outside drown out the voices of people. As she looks around trying to figure out where she is—
*the sound of someone hitting a tin trash can*
The kitten is already scared, and the sound coming from the trash can makes her jump. She turns her gaze toward the trash can and focuses for a moment. A large shadow appears behind the swaying trash can.
Kitten (inner voice):
— What's that? Who's there?
Then, a stray cat emerges from behind the trash can and begins to approach her. Furry, a bit dirty, one ear cut off, eyes looking tired; it gives off an air as if it were once a house cat.
Street cat:
— Tss. Hey little one! This place isn't safe for someone like you.
Kitten:
— Huh? What's that supposed to mean? Why is he mad at me?
The kitten takes a step back. The street cat looks her up and down, then...:
— But don't worry, I won't hurt you. It's just that... you're not from around here. You ran away from home, didn't you?
Kitten thinks to herself:
— Yes, I had ran away from home, I remembered...
The kitten hangs her head sadly and shyly and nods "Yes."
There is a moment of silent eye contact between them. Then the street cat brings a chicken bone with still meat left on it and pushes it toward the kitten with its paw.
— Here, this will keep you going for now.
The little kitten lowers her head and looks at the bone. She brings her head closer to the bone, sniffs it, then slowly begins to eat. The street cat watches her.
— If you don't know the way, you'll get lost even more in these streets. But you're lucky, the fur on your coat is still warm and soft... That means you still carry the warmth of your home. If you want to go back, go back now. And listen to your heart, it will surely show you the way to your owners..., says street cat.
The kitten hears some sounds coming from the street. She stops for a moment and looks up at the sky. Evelyn, Taylor, and Paul are calling it!
Kitten (inner voice):
— These sounds... It's them... They're calling me!
The kitten bows her head in front of the street cat, then with her inner voice:
— Thank you, she says, letting out a tiny meow. Then she leaves the street cat's side and starts running. The street cat watches her go, a slight smile appearing on its face.
— Hmph. At least she knows her way home.
The kitten tries to run with all her might. She passes through crowds of people, along roads and streets. In her inner voice:
— I have to run as fast as I can! I can't keep them waiting any longer!
As she runs, she says with her inner voice:
— Run, Cutie, run! They're waiting for you!
Then suddenly, she comes to another dead end:
— Oh no. Dead end!, she says with her inner voice, turning around and running back.
After a long run, the sounds grow closer:
— The sounds... they're getting closer. Faster!... Wait for me, friends! I'm coming!
The kitten's steps grow faster with each passing moment. Then, running on the sidewalk behind a building, she stops. The sounds are coming very close. She looks around, and just then...
— (inner voice) Wait a minute! I saw them!
Then she starts running across the road.
Across the street, Evelyn, Taylor, and Paul have gathered and are discussing the situation:
Evelyn:
— Did you find anything?
Taylor:
— No.
Paul:
— I'm sorry.
— Evelyn sighs Where could she have gone? Or how far could she have gone?
Paul:
— Let's look a little more. There must be places we haven't looked yet.
Taylor:
— I agree, I think we should keep looking. Don't worry, Evelyn, we'll find her! She'll turn up somewhere!
Just as silence descends upon the place, Taylor hearsp a sound.
— (to himself) Huh?... Am I hearing something?... The sound is getting closer,... as if something is approaching... Wait!... Could it be...
...
Unaware of the big surprise awaiting him, Taylor turns around. As soon as he turns around, the kitten was about to jump on Taylor:
Taylor:
— LITTLE KİTTY!
Taylor catches the kitten jumping on him, holding her with his arms raised. In that moment, when the enchanting warm colored evening lights make feel more emotional and warm hearts, Taylor's joy is evident in the big smile on his face, while Evelyn and Paul turn their gaze to that moment full of happiness. Their frowns give way to eyes sparkling with joy and lively, warm smiles. Evelyn seems like a bit emotional, while Paul smiles slightly.
Taylor to the kitten:
— Where have you been? We were so worried about you!
Evelyn:
— Oh my God! I'm so glad she came back safely!
Paul:
— I didn't expect to find her like this after searching for her so much, to be honest. ...
Taylor:
— Let's go home. We all deserved it...
They were all exhausted from the day’s hustle and bustle. But by the end of the day, all four of them were happy again. From that moment on, this scene of happiness will never fade from anyone’s heart.
The camera angle is below, on the sidewalk, showing them walking.
